Contra Tango Invitation

We’ve all been invited by the Bozeman Folklore Society to show off some tango dancing. The more dancers we have the better! So if you can help us fill the dance floor for a couple of songs, please do!

Saturday December 30th at the Bozeman Senior Center 807 N Tracy Ave, Bozeman.

Mention that you’re a tango dancer to get in free.
If you’re interested in learning some Contra dancing show up in time for the lesson at 7:30pm.
If you only want to join in the Tango demonstration show up before 9:00pm. The demonstration time is not scheduled precisely and will depend on timing of the Contra dancing before hand.

The demonstration will probably go something like this:
An extremely brief introduction to Argentine Tango including a few words on mechanics of movement and tango philosophy in general. Visual demonstration will accompany the description and be followed by a couple of improvised tango dances. Anyone who already knows some tango is encouraged to join in the dances, and those who don’t know tango should feel free to experiment or just observe.
